DANIELS, ELIZABETH A. Age 92, passed away November 26, 2014, surrounded by her loving children. Born on June 24, 1922, in Billings MT. She joined the U.S. Navy to serve as a WAVE during World War II, attaining the rank of Yeoman First Class. After the war, Elizabeth attended college at the University of Nevada, where she met and married her lifelong love, Fillmore. As an Army wife, she traveled with her husband and children to France, Germany, and many postings in the U.S. Elizabeth possessed remarkable strength and fortitude while raising eight children, often all on her own. Elizabeth had a generous heart, a wonderfully wicked sense of humor, a brilliant mind and a loving nature. She gave selflessly to her family and friends. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Fillmore W. Daniels; her daughter, Kathleen and son, Patrick. Elizabeth is survived by her remaining six children, Michael, USN (RET) and wife Gloria, Mary Beth and husband JR Duncan, Nancy Daniels, Jean and spouse Kathleen, Laurie and husband Michael Finnegan, James and wife Susan; and honorary daughter, Barbara Vittitoe. She will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren, Elora, Matthew, Patrick, Mia and Colin. As a lifelong lover of Nature, one could always find Elizabeth tending her roses in the garden, surrounded by her beloved turtles and dogs while turning the hose on her kids. Elizabeth set an unspoken standard for all of her children to be selfless and to believe in the value of all human beings. We wish you could have known her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Animal Humane Association of NM, www.animalhumanenm.org.
