 GUSTAVSON-CALANCA, CHALOTTE MARIA Age 32, a resident of Albuquerque, died unexpectedly November 20, 2014. She is survived by beloved husband, Lonn Vincent Calanca; and her precious 4 year old son Orion; her parents Johnny Gustavson and Jette Gustavson of Norway; her brother Michael Gustavson of Norway and many cherished cousins, aunts, uncles. Born and raised in Kongsberg, Norway, Chalotte traveled the world, studying Ayurvedic medicine in Barcelona, Spain and in Pune, India. It was when Chalotte was studying at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque that she met her soulmate and best friend, Lonn. Together they performed on stages across the region where Chalotte's musical talents shined on the keyboards and in her angelic vocals. They lived in Taos, NM, but settled down in Albuquerque for the birth of their son, Orion. A gifted healer, Chalotte worked as an Ayurvedic practitioner in private practice, as a therapist at Betty's Bath and Day Spa, and she was training with midwives to assist women in labor. Known for her playful spirit, easy smile and hearty laughter, Chalotte was loved by everyone who knew her. She possessed a magical gift to make each person she knew feel uniquely adored. We will celebrate the life of Chalotte on Friday, November 28 at 2 p.m., at Nahalat Shalom, 3606 Rio Grande Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
