Obituary for NELSON

NELSON, DOROTHY M. Dorothy M. Nelson passed peacefully away at her home in the comfort of Hospice on November 13, 2014. Dorothy was born on May 10, 1932 in Providence, Rhode Island to Everett and Minna Simmons. She was preceded in death by son, Thomas. Dorothy is survived by husband of 47 years, Elton; daughter Beverly (and Tom) Polk; son Frank (and Denise) Loucks; son Barry (and Rita) Loucks; daughter Catherine (and Dewey) Edwards; two grandsons; and one great-grandson. She was a devoted member of the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she loved singing in the choir, and being with all her great friends there. Dorothy was an avid weaver and knitter, loved to crochet and sew, - giving most away to her family and friends. She also crocheted numerous baby blankets for Project Linus. A memorial service will be at the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Sat., Nov. 22, 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to Project Linus or the American Heart Association.
