 SHRIVER, BRUCE E. age 79, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014. He was born on September 13, 1935. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He will be remembered as a well read, well- educated man; he was a contractor, and an excellent gunsmith who loved his guns. Mr. Shriver was an avid Nascar fan, and enjoyed working with wood, building birdhouses including small church birdhouses with stained glass windows, and he also made Christmas ornaments from gourds. He is survived by his wife Elinor; his son Gorden and his wife Khoi; two grandsons Alexander and Nicholas; and his sister Jill Patterson and her husband Larry; he is also survived by his friends who meant so very much to him. Cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Monteray Baptist Church located at 12501 Lomas Blvd. NE.
