THOMPSON, CORINNE Corinne (Corrie) Kriege Thompson passed away on October 26, 2014, at home after a lengthy illness. Her husband, James T. Thompson, preceded her in death in May, 2014. She is survived by her son, Mark of Albuquerque, and daughter Barbara and her partner Jo Vaughan, of Greenville, TX. Born in Toledo, OH, she moved to Albuquerque to pursue her education at UNM. She pledged Chi Omega sorority (her "second family") and was a part of that group for 62 years. She graduated with a business degree in 1954. Afterwards, she worked for Sandia Laboratories, frequently accompanying scientists to atomic test sites. She wished to be remembered for her community involvement. In addition to activities with Chi Omega, she bowled with the Panhellenic League for nearly 30 years, volunteered with the Albuquerque Museum of Natural History, and worked on many projects with Central United Methodist Church. She loved playing bridge with her friends and sorority sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE.
