CAVIS, REBECCA Rebecca Jean Cavis, born in Webster, SD on September 28, 1957 to Della and Darrel Taylor, passed away peacefully in her home on October 11, 2014 at the age of 57 after battling cancer for nearly three years. Becky was married for 31 years to the love of her life Buckley A. Cavis. Becky worked in the jewelry industry for 25 years, and was adored by all her customers. In retirement, she spent the majority of her time with her family, including her young grandchildren. Becky and Buck spent much of their time together at home, out in their backyard gardening. She loved flowers, especially roses and tulips. Becky enjoyed reading books, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her father Darel, stepfather Jim, brother Paul, father-in-law Allen, mother-in-law Lucille, and Buckley's oldest brother Stan. Becky is survived by her loving husband Buck; her two sons, Todd and Nick; daughters-in-law, Rachel and Emily; five beautiful grandchildren, Trent, Ava, Lilly, Benjamin, and Liberty; her mother Della; sister Susan; brothers, Harvey and David; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews, who all loved her dearly. Becky was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She had strength and courage that words could not describe. Becky is incredibly loved, and will be dearly missed by all. Services will be held at French Funerals at 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE on Thursday, Oct 16, Viewing from 1:00pm-2:00pm with service to follow from 2:00 to 3:30pm. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Oct. 23 at 1:30.
