Obituary for VORIS

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday October 12, 2014

VORIS, STANLEY Stanley Voris of Albuquerque peacefully passed away on October 9, 2014. He was born in Del Norte, Colorado, on February 3, 1931. He was preceded in death by his wife of over fifty years, Jean Voris. He is survived by a sister, Shirley Coats of Florida; a son, Kelly Voris and wife, Becky and a daughter, Kathleen Montoya and husband, Randy. Stan also is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Stan was a residential framing contractor and later a custom home builder for over thirty years in central New Mexico. He was humble and confident, so a handshake and a man's word were all he needed to get started. His employees and sub-contractors loved working for him and respected him. During off hours, racing his power boat around Elephant Butte and his Dallas Cowboys took up some fun time. Stan led a good and productive life and his mark will be around for many years to come. The family would to thank the Woodmark and Hospice of NM for their excellent care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Natl Diabetes Research Foundation in his name. Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH Lomas. Please visit our online guestbook for Stan at www.FrenchFunerals.com FRENCH - Lomas 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
