ANGEL, ALFONSO F. Alfonso F. Angel, 80, died October 4, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen, his brother, Alfred Angel, his niece, Nicole Duran and her husband, Julio, his nephew, Joey Padilla, as well as Helen's family, Salvador and Lydia Ruiz, Fredelina and Mario Palza, Lydia Ruiz, Eloy and Maria Ruiz, Laida Martinez and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Alfonso joined the US Army and served during the Korean War. He attended and graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in 1959. Mr. Angel then taught Elementary Education in many places including Dulce, Albuquerque and Sky City. He also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Dulce and at SIPI in Albuquerque. He was a member of Calvary Chapel and was very involved in the prison ministry. His service will be Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 2 p.m., at FRENCH - University with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
