BATES, CHARLES "CHAZ" Charles "Chaz" Bates, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2014. He was born in Oxnard, California on May 23, 1967. Charlie is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Bonnie Bates; parents Freddie and Rosemary; daughters Shawntel, Ashley, Janelle, Veronica, Brianna, and Marissa; son Charlie Jr.; sons-in-law Santos and Patrick; sister Sonya; brothers Freddie, Raymond, and Gabriel; grandchildren Santianna, Angelica, Timothy, Patrick Jr, Jazzlyne, and Paul; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends who loved him very much. A celebration of life will begin with a viewing at Riverside Funeral Home located at 225 San Mateo, Thursday, September 18th from 5-8pm. Services will be Friday, September 19th at 10am at Manzano del Sol Village Chapel, 5201 Roma. Charlie will be greatly missed by so many, but will forever be in our hearts. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, immediately following the service. Pallbearers: Santos, Patrick, Timothy, Matthew, Steven S, Freddie, Gabriel, Robert, Steven, Richard (TI), and Martin.
