Obituary for BULTMANN

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday September 18, 2014

BULTMANN, PATRICIA Patricia Bultmann was called home by the Lord on September 14, 2014. She was surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on September 29, 1928 to William and Florence Elliott in New Orleans, LA. She spent all of her childhood years in New Orleans until becoming a dedicated United States Air Force wife in 1950. She loved to tell everyone that she moved 30 times in 30 years as a military wife. She moved to Albuquerque for the second time in 1971. It is here that she finally was able to set her permanent roots, and it is here she bloomed. Patricia's family meant everything to her; she is survived by her son, Glenn and wife Lucy of Durango, CO, son, Gary and wife Mary of Albuquerque, NM and daughter, Jane and husband Greg of Phoenix, AZ. She had six grandchildren, Chris and Danny Barber of Phoenix, Ashley Olson and Kayla Blemel of Albuquerque, and Adrienne Carroll of San Francisco. She also had six great-grandchildren. Patricia loved her garden and could most often be found out in her back yard tending to her plants with her beloved dogs by her side. In her younger years, she spent most weekends boating at the lake with her family and serving as a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was an officer in the auxiliary and was the AIMS candidate liaison for the Coast Guard Academy for many years. She was avid bowler and participated in leagues everywhere she lived. She loved to travel and was able to visit many places over the years with friends and family. She was an avid Lobo Basketball fan and was always looking forward to the games. She believed in helping others and volunteered with the Assistance League of Albuquerque. She was a member of Hoffmantown church and sang in the Senior Choir. Most important to Patricia was her family and friends. She was always happy, positive, adventurous and had a wonderful sense of humor. She touched the lives of all she came in contact with, including her new friends at Brookdale Senior Living. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
