 BOWER, DARLENE W. Age 69, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 20, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Amarillo, TX and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Darlene loved her grandkids so very much, and enjoyed cooking, kayaking, volunteer work, and playing the piano. Darlene would relax with an occasional margarita. She was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and Lee Wilder. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Brian A. Bower; her children, Teresa Bower, Mendy (Ona) Bernal, Brian K. (Jada) Bower; five precious grandchildren; and her brother Lanny Wilder and Vicki Coffin; and other relatives and friends. Darlene will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. An Evening Vigil will be conducted Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW. Casket Bearers will be Cody Bower, Isaiah Henry, Brooke Bower, Chase Bernal, Brynn Bower and Tia Bernal. Honorary Bearers will be Sommer Wilder, Alexandria Gonzales, Austin Royle and Kayla Royle. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be given in Darlene's honor to: St. Vincent De Paul Society or The Barrett House.
