MO, GARY MICHAEL Born March 17, 1944 in MacDill Field, FL to Charles Luck Mo and Ruth Mae Dubois Childs, lost his courageous battle with lung cancer on July 15, 2014. Raised in a military family, he enlisted into the US Air Force at the age of 18. He served and traveled extensively during his early military career prior to meeting his future wife Louella while stationed at Holloman AFB, NM. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Louella; three daughters Glenda, Elizabeth, Audrey and husband James; grandchildren Kristofer, Jade, Brittany, Lynee' and fiance Kevin, Jacob, Nicholas, Ryan; and great-granddaughter, AndraLeigha. He is also survived by his brothers Charles Mo, Wayne Mo and wife Joanne; in-laws Alice & Adam Tapia, Joe Sanchez, Georgia and Fred Barrett, Elaine and Leo Otero, Deb and Kirk Willford, Steve & Dianna Sanchez, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Ruth Mo and many other close and loving relatives. Gary was a kind and giving soul, loved by everyone in his life. He was a smart and articulate man with many talents. His artistic nature helped him create countless works of ceramic art which we all enjoyed. He earned his college degree from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. He proudly served his country and retired in Albuquerque, NM from the US Air Force after a 20 year career. He then went on to a 15 year career with the US Postal Service. He spent his short retirement with his family traveling and enjoying his free time. A rosary in his honor will be recited on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral mass to follow immediately after the rosary at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Santa Fe. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be James Lopez, Kristofer Vigil, Fred Barrett, Steve Sanchez, Leo Otero and Kirk Willford. Gary will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
