 MARTINEZ, ESQUIPULA 1936-2014 Esquipula Martinez, age 78, a resident of Veguita, NM passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Grace Martinez; parents, Reymundo and Rosalia Sanchez Martinez; and sister, Isabelle Garcia. Esquipula is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Santos Martinez; children, Mike Martinez and wife, Patty of CO, Crystal Martinez and husband, Fernando of Veguita, Rachel Garcia of Albuquerque, Ray Martinez of Veguita, Regina Silva and husband, Ben of Las Nutrias, Jose Ralph Martinez of TX; 22 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and brother and sisters, Demetrio Martinez and wife, Felicita, Frank and wife, Viola, Lucipia Rael and Nick Martinez. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, beginning with a Viewing on Thursday, July 17th at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited 7:00 p.m. A Final Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Schultz presiding. Interment will follow at Veguita Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Martinez, Ben Silva, Fernando Martinez, Ralph Martinez, Phillip Garcia and Fidel Baca.
