MOORE, MARILOUISE (BUNNY) November 2, 1930 - July 10, 2014 Marilouise, who was known to her family and friends as Bunny, was born at Fort Francis E. Warren in Cheyenne, Wyoming to parents Florence and Paul Evans. Bunny lived most of her life in Santa Fe and graduated from Loretto Academy in 1948. That same year she married J.M. (Mackie) Moore, former Santa Fe City Councilman, who preceded her in death in 1995. Bunny was a devoted wife and mother. She was a devout Catholic and belonged to the Saint Francis Cathedral Parish. She enjoyed all types of arts and craft work and was a member of the Santa Fe Embroiders' Guild for many years. Bunny moved to Albuquerque in 2012. Before long she connected with "friends her own age" and began enjoying stitching sessions with a new embroidery group. During her final days, Bunny completed her last needlework piece for a grandson, a colorful landscape based on a Grand Canyon photo that she had found in a magazine. Bunny took great joy in meeting and holding her two youngest great grandchildren during the month before her passing. She is survived by her three children, Linda Moore and her daughter Memi; Bill and wife Diana Moore and their children, Bryan, Stephanie, and Michael and their families; Karen and husband Barney Russell, and Karen's sons Clay and Carter Wallis; sister Elaine Gilmartin; brothers-in-law Dick and Jerry Moore and their wives Mary Sue and Marsha; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews scattered far and wide. A Rosary will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 511 Alicia St. Santa Fe, NM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m.
