KELTON, JULIA PAULINE (POLLY) 1920-2014 Julia Pauline (Polly) Kelton, age 94, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at her home in Belen, New Mexico. She was born to Paul and Leona McComb on January 22, 1920, and was raised in the Manzano Mountains. On March 19, 1938, she married Tom Kelton. They worked on a ranch together outside of Chilili, New Mexico; Tom was a cowboy ranch hand and Julia cooked for all the ranch hands. In 1942 they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, as Tom got a job on the Santa Fe Railroad. Tom and Julia moved to Belen in 1965 for a job transfer where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church where she remained active for many years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; and her daughter, Kathryn Brannon. Julia is survived by her four daughters, Carolyn Peterson and husband, Gary of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Donna Holley of Rio Rancho, Judith Rogers and husband, Allen of Rio Rancho, Laura Brown and husband, Bruce of Loveland, Colorado; grandchildren, Raymond Sturmoki and wife, Christie, Cathy Bonnes and husband, Jeff, Greg Peterson and wife, Kim all of Michigan, Lynette Singleton and husband, Joe of Farmington, Charlotte Ryff and husband, Chuck of Rio Rancho, Travis Brannon of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Jeremy Brannon and wife, Roberta, Sarah Gergel and husband, Joey, Rebekah Lopez and husband, Adam of Sandia Park, Allen Rogers Jr. of Rio Rancho, Jonathon Rogers of Albuquerque, Paul Holley and wife, Cass, Alyssa Skeen and husband, Aaron of Loveland, Colorado, Rachel Veach and husband, Randall of Fort Collins, Colorado, Christian Brown of Chiang Mai, Thailand; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
