Obituary for SU

SU, JAMES Age 72, a resident of Albuquerque for 10 years, died Sunday, May 11, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Anna Su; children, David Su and wife Jing of Los Angeles, CA, Karen Su Garrett and husband, John of Atlanta, GA, Jenny Su Coley and husband, Bill of Cary, NC, Darron Su and Grace Su, both of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, William, Benjamin, Carolyn, Addie, Ty, Ava, and Mahlon; siblings, Richard Su and wife, Julie of Falls Church, VA, Wendy Wu and husband, Roger of Abilene, TX; and numerous other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by two brothers and his oldest sister. He was born in 1941 in Taiwan and after attending Divinity School because of his strong Christian faith, he attended Dong Hai University where he received his bachelor's degree in Political Science. In Taiwan he worked for Sealand Air Cargo in an executive position and also worked for a seafood exporter. James immigrated to the United States in 1976 and after a short while in Virginia, settled in Georgia. He was a hardworking man, coming to this country with a few dollars in his pocket and became a successful businessman. James was a very kind, God fearing man, who loved his family and friends and was always willing to forgive others by giving them a second chance. After coming to Albuquerque, James owned China Star. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit FRENCH - Wyoming on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m., also at FRENCH - Wyoming.
