Obituary for MOSHOLDER

MOSHOLDER, ROBERT M. Robert M. "Cookie" Mosholder, age 100, of Rio Rancho NM, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014. Robert started his military career in 1938, in the National Guard, and then joined the US Army in 1940, serving in WWII, and the Korean War. He was proud to serve his country and the freedom that it represented. After a long, dutiful service to our country, Robert retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3. He continued his service as a civil servant at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque. He was a kind, fun loving, sweet, patient person. He loved sharing stories about growing up in Dixon, IL with Ronald "Dutch" Reagan, his memories of the military, and the many areas which he visited in his travels. He was very intelligent and enjoyed using his computer and iPad and playing ball with his beloved dog, Greta. Robert is survived by his two daughters, Roberta Radosevich and husband Robert, and Sandra Picket and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Chandelle, Christine, Janos; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Ryan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adalene and grandson, Ryan. We mourn his passing, we will miss him dearly, but we celebrate his life. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 19, 2014, 11:00 am, at FRENCH - Rio Rancho. A committal service with full Military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
