BRAATEN, KONRAD E. "KONNIE" Age 87, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family, friends and dogs on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joann Braaten; daughters, Marsha Braaten, Susan Hiller and Paula Peterson and husband Kenny; grandchildren, Emily, Abby and husband Paul, Seth and wife Katie and Adam; 5 great grandchildren; and his devoted dogs, Jiggs and Rudi. Konnie was an avid Lobo Basketball fan since 1961 and was retired as a printer from the University of New Mexico Printing Plant. His hobbies included fishing, golfing and numerous adventures with his wife in their RV. Konnie was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his quick wit. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, May 15, 2014, 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
