 PONDS, ANNA B. "BEA" was born on March 24, 1923 in Garland, Arkansas. She passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. Bea belonged to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her love of shopping and especially buying shoes. Bea enjoyed yard work and playing bingo, but especially enjoyed traveling with her dear friend Mildred Johnson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene "Gene" Ponds and is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Ponds; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. A graveside funeral service was held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where Bea was interred with her late husband, Gene. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW.
