Obituary for FARRELL

FARRELL, JOHN "JACK", USAF, CMS (RET.) Age 90, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Oury of Albuquerque; and son, James Farrell of San Diego, CA; stepsons, Allen W. Callender of Albuquerque and Edward W. Callender of California; grandchild, Brittany Oury of Albuquerque; sister, Kathleen Farrell of St. Paul, MN; and numerous other relatives and friends. Jack was preceded in death by his wives, Marjorie Farrell and Cora Farrell; son, Kieran Farrell; and grandson, Adam Oury. Jack was born in 1924 in Lawrence, MA and after graduation from the seminary, entered the United States Army Air Corps where he served honorably until his retirement in 1970. He was an avid chess player and a lover of Heineken. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Prayer Service will be held at FRENCH - Wyoming on Saturday, April 12, 2014, 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to Animal Humane NM, 615 Virginia St. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
