 MONTANO, VIOLA Age 68, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. Viola was born in Albuquerque on April 9, 1945 to Paul and Vera Montano. She was home schooled due to her disabilities. Viola proudly retired from Adelante Developing center where she worked from 1985 to 2011. For many years she also worked at Winrock shopping center where she enjoyed delivering meals from the food court to employees that worked there. Viola took great pride working at Winrock because the people she was happy to serve knew her very well and were thrilled to receive there lunch or supper from a special person. Viola also attended several special Olympics where she won numerous medals. Viola was also on a bowling team and absolutely loved it. Viola is preceded in death by nephew Ralph Salter and niece Melissa Farell.Viola is survived by her twin sister Diana Salter, (John) sister Trudy Ramirez, brother John Montano, nieces and nephews Cindy Ramirez, Monica Caristo, Paul Armijo, Michelle Wheeler, Sussie Armijo, Ana Simmons, Megan Montano, special best friend Vicki Stewart and several great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew. A Visitation will take place at Daniels Family Funeral Services Coal Chapel on Friday April 4, 2014 at 10:00 am. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am.
