MACY, ROBERT "BOB" Robert Macy died suddenly on Friday, March 21, 2014 at the age of 61. He was born in New Jersey to June and Sidney Macy. He attended Stevens Institute of Technology, where he majored in physics. After graduation, Robert moved to New Mexico and joined the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at UNM, where he worked as a Research Engineer for over 25 years. Robert was a serious musician and performed regularly with local bands. He was devoted to his family. He is survived by his children, Emily and Maxwell; their mother, Mary Beth Griffin; his parents, June and Sidney Macy; and his sisters, Mallory Davidson and Ellen Marder. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the UNM ALUMNI CHAPEL on the UNM Campus-Las Lomas Blvd & Redondo NE.
