Obituary for PEREZ

PEREZ, FELIX JR. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle went to be with our Lord on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Mary D. Perez and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children: Joseph and wife Christine Perez, Theresa Perez, Felix and wife Norma Perez, Michael and wife Ana Perez, Margie and husband Carlos Monarez; grandchildren: Daniel Perez, Jolene and husband Troy Luna, Abigail and Benjamin Perez; great-grandchildren: Joshua and Tommy Perez, Dillon and Devin Luna; and sister, Sarafina Torres. Felix worked at Mor-Parts as an auto part rebuilder for the majority of his work career. He enjoyed picnicking, fishing and camping at Elephant Butte, Red River and the Pecos areas just to name a few. His hobbies were listening to 89.1, attending concerts at Old Town, playing his guitar, and enjoyed playing with the family dog, Dennis, who loved to sit on his lap. He treasured time with his family and supporting his grandchildren and great grandchildren in their sporting events. He had a knack for making the best meatloaf meal and planting flowers. Felix's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation in the Floral Chapel at Salazar Mortuary from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday followed by a Visitation and Rosary beginning at 6:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at San Felipe Catholic Church (2005 North Plaza NW in Old Town. ) Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at San Felipe followed by a burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd. NE 87102). Pallbearers will be Joseph Perez, Felix Perez III, Michael Perez, Daniel Perez, Benjamin Perez, and Carlos Monarez.
