 MCWHIRTER, WILLIAM E. "GENE" age 69, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014. Gene was a member of Teamsters Local 492 for over 35 years. He was a very loving father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. He was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas in 1944, moved to New Mexico in 1972 and has resided here since. Gene's generous and loving nature as well as sense of humor will be greatly missed by all. Gene was preceded in death by his father, William F. McWhirter and mother, Idress C. McWhirter. He is survived by two sons; one daughter; three grandsons; and two granddaughters. Services are not scheduled at this time.
