ORTIZ, JOHNNY R. Johnny passed away Monday, December 23, 2013. He is survived by his sisters and brothers; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Liberato and Josie Ortiz; brother, Filomeno Ortiz; and sister, Irene LaGrange. Johnny served in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart. He graduated from Rio Grande High School and later attended TVI. His favorite past-time was drawing and being with his friends and family. Rosary will be recited Friday, December 27, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - University, with visitation one hour prior from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW. Burial will follow with military honors at Santa Clara Cemetery, 611 Foothills Rd. SW.
