FISHER, CHARLES M. passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 from congestive heart failure. He was born on April 8, 1927 in East Orange, NJ. He is survived by his his wife of 33 years, Bettie; daughter Carrie McCann, 56; and son Miles, 48. He was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth (1997) and oldest son Paul (2009). Charlie will be remembered as a good and charismatic person who was generous and always made time to converse with people. He was an avid flea marketer, buying and selling at the NM State Fairgrounds since the 1960s. He traveled to Native American jewelry shows, repaired watches and clocks, and dealt in antiques. He worked at Sparton Technologies, and later, the New Mexico Engineering Research Institute until retiring in the 1980s. Charles was a proud member of the Armed Services, stationed in Panama towards the end of WWII until 1946. He was patriotic to the core and loved his country and fellow veterans. He regularly attended services at Hoffmantown Church and Calvary Chapel. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, December 14, 2:00pm, at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. In lieu of flowers Charles' family asks for donations to the Animal Humane Association.
