MONTOYA, DAVID G. David, age 92, went to be with our Lord on Friday, November 29, 2013. He is preceded in death by his spouse of 58 years Mary Anne Montoya; his grandson Michael David Montoya; and his granddaughter Denise Garcia. David is survived by son Mike (Kathy) Montoya; his daughters: DeeDee (Ross) Garcia and Jeannette Luna; five sisters; four brothers; seven grandchildren: Derrik, Danielle, Melissa, Miranda, Jeremiah, Chris, and Kym; nine great grandchildren: Michael Joseph, Isaiah, Anthony, Xavior, Scarlett, Grey, Noah, Branden, and Ryan. David served in the U.S. Army as a Technician Fourth Grade Sergeant and is retired from the US Postal Service. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the DAV. David was an avid reader and loved to read the Albuquerque Journal. He loved giving tips and advice to others. He was known for his famous green Ford LTD. David will be greatly missed by his family. David's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (1860 Griegos Rd NW) on Wednesday, December 3, 2013, at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held for David at the same location on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., followed by an Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith St. NE). David's pallbearers will be Mike Montoya, Derrik Luna, Isaiah Montoya, Richard Luna, Ross Garcia, and Chris Garcia.
