KAUFMAN, SYLVIA Age 94, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013. She was born October 19, 1919 to Nathan and Kate (Bergenfeld) Beres of Brooklyn, NY. A resident of Rio Rancho, NM for the past 18 years, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who, also enjoyed reading, watching game shows on TV and eating candy. She and her husband, Joseph, were well known for their love of dancing and going to the theatre. Mrs. Kaufman was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kaufman. She is survived by her daughters, Arleen Kleinmintz and husband, Leonard, of Rio Rancho, NM, and Debra Kane and husband, Steven Kesselman, also of Rio Rancho, NM; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Morton Beres, of Rockville, MD; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM.
