Obituary for NARRO

NARRO, SOCORRO age 85, was born on April 26, 1928 in Ocotlan, Jalisco, Mexico and passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. Socorro was born in Mexico and raised in Houston, TX., graduating from Sam Houston High School. Socorro met and married the love of her life, Mario and they were blessed with nine beautiful children. Socorro was a stay at home mom. Her life was dedicated to nurturing her children and supporting her family in every way possible and in whatever path they chose. She was definitely the heart of the family. Socorro was an active and longtime member of the Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception Parish) and helped start the Women's Chapter of LULAC of New Mexico. As well, she contributed her time to St. Anthony's Orphanage. Socorro was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Mario F. Narro and grandson, Fabian Calderon. She is survived by her brother, Pete De La Paz of Houston, TX; loving cousin, Oralia Morales of Marlboro, MA, who was like a sister to her; her children: Ricardo Narro and wife Elaine, Mario D. Narro and wife Rose, Lydia Narro, Rosemary Najar and husband Gilbert, Alicia Calderon and husband Samuel, Steven Narro, Alberto Narro, Andrew Narro and wife Deborah, Martin Narro and wife Sandra; proudly survived by 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends who loved her and will miss her greatly. The family would like to say a very special thank you to our brother Mario for putting his life on hold to care for our mother. Also, to Socorros daughter-in-law, Deborah, thank you sis for all you did and for spending so much precious time with your "best friend". We love you both dearly. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Parish, 619 Copper Ave. NW. on Saturday, October 26, 2013. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am, with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will then take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Carlos Narro, Marcus Narro, Orlando Najar, Anthony Calderon, Mario Narro III, Isaac Sisneros and Miguel Narro. Honorary pallbearer will be Joel Valdez.
