CASAUS, DERRICK "BOXER" Derrick, age 28, went into God's hands on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Derrick is survived by parents: Leroy and Anna Mae Casaus; sons: Xavier Casaus and Brandon Varoz; his daughter: Alaysia Casaus; and grandparents: Jerry and Leticia Webb. Derrick loved the Lord, was a godly christian man, who loved his family and everyone. He was a hard worker who had a way with people and was influential with his friends. He loved cars, sports, and boxing, in which he was trained by Johnny Tapia. Derrick had a heart of compassion who always wanted to make his parents proud. Derrick's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Friday, October 4th at the Reflections Funerals and Life Celebration Chapel (2400 Washington St. NE) starting at 9:00am. A Life Celebration service will start at 10:00am with a committal service following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Derrick's pallbearers will be: Nathan Flores, Eric Sandoval, Manuel Samora, Guillermo Casaus, Leonard Madrid, George Sandoval, John Urban, and Marcus Ortiz. Derrick's honorary pallbearers will be: Sam Cortese, Casey Cortese, Jesse Cortese, Dominic Casaus, Kevin Casaus, Gabriel Casaus, Jared Romero, Guillermo Marez, and Matt Reynolds.
