DORAN, JOHN WILLIAM John Doran, known as "JD" passed away peacefully at age 83, on 9/17. He is survived by his nieces Amy Keppel and Alice Ann Obermeyer, and nephew Russell Keppel. JD had quite a temper, which failed to mellow with age. Therefore, our thanks to his devoted and very patient oncologist, Dr. Purdy, and to his other doctors. Also to the very caring hospice nurses and the staff at Woodmark assisted living. Attorney Francella was a great support during JD's last year. To the Rodriguez Family, you were so kind through many years. Finally, special thanks to his close friend Katie, who was wonderfully patient with him. JD was a civilian engineer for Air Force nuclear programs. In his younger days he was a ballooning enthusiast. He was an avid skier, and was a member of the Sandia Peak ski patrol. JD requested that any memorial donations be sent to the Make a Wish foundation.
