MINERS, LEORA LYNN KAVENY 79, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013. She was born April 28, 1934 in Hammond Indiana the daughter of Leo and Gertrude Kaveny. She married twice and out lived both husbands. Leora was a fine artist and fashion designer she graduated from the prestigious all women's Stephens College with a degree in fashion design and an art degree from SMU. Everyone who met Lee acknowledged her sense of class and affability. Survivors include two sons, Patrick Miners and wife Tracy of Phoenix, AZ; Sam Miners and wife Catherine of Bosque Farms NM; one grandson; Ian Miners unmarried of Phoenix, Az. Lee out lived one brother, Michael Kaveny. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the ASPCA or the local animal shelter. Internment of cremated remains took place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
