Obituary for REYES

REYES, FELICIA YVONNE Age 41, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 after a two year battle with cancer. She is survived by her parents, Cecilia Marie and Eddie Reyes of Albuquerque; sister, Lisa Herig and husband, Andy of Albuquerque; brother, Edwin Reyes Jr. and wife, Camille of Albuquerque; brother, Angelo Reyes and wife, Karen of Broomfield, CO; fiance, Greg Keith Montoya, his daughter, Myranda and son, Keith of Albuquerque; her beloved nephews, Drew Herig, Edwin (EJ) Reyes, Alex Herig, Ramon (Ray) Reyes, Dakota Reyes, and Jaden Reyes. She also leaves behind a close family, Aunt Edie Reyes; cousins, Carla Chavez, Orlando Dominguez, Luci Tiesi, Bill Reyes, Pat Dominguez, Beverly Smith, Paul Dominguez and their families and many close friends who stood by her side all through her tough battle. Felicia was preceded in death by all of her grandparents, Eduardo and Fedelina Dominguez, Ramon and Guillermina Reyes; her Tio Juan Dominguez and wife, Aunt Sharon Dominguez, and Uncle Laly Reyes. Felicia excelled at sports at Albuquerque Academy and was awarded Female Athlete of the Year in 1990. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from NMSU and recently retired as a Prosecution Specialist in the Bernalillo County District Attorney's office after 15 years of dedicated service. Felicia loved playing softball and volleyball, jet skiing, roller coasters and traveling, and did them all while fighting for her life. She found peace in her Catholic faith and now rests in the Kingdom of God, safe in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Felicia was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Sunday, September 29, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee, Albuquerque, with Celebrant Fr. Edward Domme. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit Sunday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
