Leonor was preceded in death by her parents; Otilio and Clara Andrade; her brother, Otilio; her sister; Evangeline, and brother-in-law John Esparza; nephews, Salvador Esparza and Manuel Sanchez. Leonor was an avid traveler who enjoyed traveling to foreign countries including Mexico, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, China, and Egypt. She researched the culture of each country and planned her itinerary to include landmarks, churches, museums, factories, culture events, and markets. She collected souvenirs from each country including postcards, books, native dressed dolls, jewelry and her passion: religious relics. These experiences served as resources she integrated into lessons, to provide enrichment for her students at Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After retiring in 1988, she moved to Albuquerque to make her home at La Vida Llena, a retirement community. She enjoyed participating in golf and swim aerobics with fellow residents. Her pictures captured the special events that preserved memories of family and friends. Family pictures are memories of annual visits at Christmas and during the summer. A treasured family memory is meeting her at the train station in Gallup, with her arriving on the Amtrak from Milwaukee for holiday visits. The Amtrak won't be the same without her. Services are pending at this time. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gallup, NM. Please visit our online guest book for Leonor at www.FrenchFunerals.com.
