CASTILLO, URSULO L. JR. Age 62, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his home in Albuquerque. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11;00 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 6) at San Jose Catholic Church, 1002 S. DeBaca Street in Carlsbad, NM. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be 8 a.m. up to time of service on Tuesday at San Jose Catholic Church. Services are entrusted to West Funeral Home in Carlsbad. Condolences may be expressed at westfuneralhomellc.com Ursulo Lopez Castillo, Jr. was born to Ursulo, Sr. and Dr. Refugia "Cuca" (Lopez) Castillo on June 30, 1951 in Carlsbad, NM. He graduated from CHS and then went on to earn a B.S. in education with a minor in music from the UNM. Ursulo and Alicia (Ortega) Castillo were married on November 26, 1980 in Carlsbad where they made their home before moving to Albuquerque five years ago. Ursulo was owner of Castillo Bail Service in Albuquerque and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. As a classically trained pianist, he loved his music and had played keyboard in many bands including the Cielo and CBS Bands prior to relocating to Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his father and grandson Zachary Monje. Ursulo is survived by his wife of Albuquerque; his mother of Carlsbad; children: Ursulo Castillo, III of Irving, TX, Javier Castillo, Loraine Monje and Jaime Lynn Camero, all of Tucson, AZ; siblings: Gregory Castillo of Albuquerque, Victor Castillo of Carlsbad and Sally Martinez of Odessa, TX; and seven grandchildren.
