CHAVEZ, ADELAIDA age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, born June 10, 1924, passed away on July 31, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Chavez will be remembered as a loving, dedicated, faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was an example in all that she did and was a testimony of God's love and faithfulness. Adelaida is survived by her five children, Carmen Riojas, Mel Chavez, Rita Chavez, Albert Chavez and Dennis Chavez; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Jose M. Chavez. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church and attended the Los Volcanes Senior Center. Visitation will be Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel. Final Visitation will be Monday, August 5, 2013 at Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with a Communion Service at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
