MCCORMICK, WILLIAM VINCENT Age 84, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2013. Bill was born to the late John A. and Bridget Gallagher McCormick on June 6, 1929, in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. Educated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Philadelphia and the Christian Brothers, he served his country for over two decades in the U.S. Air Force and then worked as a data processor until retiring in 1994. Bill was the past president of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Annunciation Parish and a longtime supporter of the Good Shepherd ministry to the homeless. The devoted husband of Barbara Kirkpatrick McCormick for 62 years, Bill was the loving father of Patrick and Guay (Tippett) McCormick, Teri and Roy Hinton, Kitty and Philip Baca, Kevin and Denise McCormick, Mary McCormick and Carlos Storch, Peggy and Phil Newsom, Elizabeth McCormick and Stephen Bulmer, and Ann and David Saybolt. In addition, Bill is survived by 16 grandchildren, Riley Steiner, Hannah and Grace Hinton, Sam, Will and Tommy McCormick, Audrey and Hailey Peek, Jack and Mariclare Newsom, Maya, Cormac and Lachlan Bulmer, and Henry, Teddy and Elanor Saybolt. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming, immediately followed by a novena and wake service at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, August 5, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont NE in Albuquerque. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd, 218 Iron SW, Albuquerque, 87102.
