 JONES, DORIS YOUNG Doris was born in El Paso, Texas October 29, 1926. She passed away peacefully in her sleep July 2, 2013. She is predeceased by her son, Richard B. Jones; mother, Ellen Cowan Young and father, Jesse Young. She is survived by husband, Dr. Richard Jones; son, Daniel T. Jones and wife, Sue Jones; daughters, Margaret Lenk and husband, Donald Lenk, Ellen Kirby and husband, John Kirby; grandchildren, Thomas Lenk, Amanda Lenk, Sara Jones and Lauren Kovarik, Elizabeth Jones, Aaron Kirby and Bryce Kirby; great grandchildren, Alo Walker, Zander Kirby. A retired teacher, she attended Pepperdine College and Texas College of Mines (UTEP) where she received a BA and UNM where she received an MA in Education. Doris was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and Montgomery Blvd. Church of Christ. She had two beloved Pomeranians, Lilly Belle and BoJo. Services will be held Monday, July 8, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona St. NE, Albuquerque, NM.
