Obituary for SALCIDO

SALCIDO, LARRY J. Age 59, a resident of Albuquerque, (originally from Hawaiian Gardens, CA) passed away at his home on Friday, June 28, 2013. After a 3 1/2 year battle with cancer, Larry died peacefully in his sleep. Larry is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joanna; his three children, Lorenzo Salcido, Frances Salcido and Emilie Gonzales; his granddaughter, Serena Trujillo; his mother, Petra and Robert Prida; his brothers and sisters, Christina Ramirez; Celsa and Harvey Delgado; Richard Salcido; David Salcido; Thomas and Mary Elder; nephews and nieces; the rest of his family and friends; Marty, his German Shepherd and Deer Chihuahua, Buddy. Larry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during the Vietnam War. He was a foreman for Commercial Enterprise for many years. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the Pecos mountains and most importantly, entertaining his friends and family with his story telling. He will be greatly missed but his legacy will live on. The Man, The Myth, The Legend. A memorial service will be held at Casa Del Rey Church, 2500 Corona Dr. NW, Albuquerque, NM at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. A second memorial service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 1:15 p.m.
