CONLIN, ROBERT H. Age 79, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 6, 1934, to John and Agnes Conlin. Robert was a 20 year resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was a police officer in Detroit, Amarillo, and Chandler. Robert served his country in USMC from 1953-1957, USAF from 1957-1965, and the Army from 1973-1980. Robert also worked in telecommunications in Wyoming, Arizona, and New Mexico. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved animals, riding horses, and hunting. Robert was known for being willing to help strangers along the way, with mechanical breakdowns, or administering first aid when needed. He also enjoyed classic movies, music, and was an amateur historian. Robert is survived by his wife, Kathy Conlin of Rio Rancho, NM; his children Bob Conlin and wife, Sharon of Peoria, AZ; Laura Conlin of Elko, NV; Mike Conlin and wife, Thuy of Glendale, AZ; Mark Conlin of Mesa, AZ; MaryAnn Scalco of Glendale, AZ; Marleen Miller and husband, Patrick of McKinney, TX; Lawrence J. Perry, III and wife, Kelly of Denver, CO; Christine Gladden and husband, Sean of Flagstaff, AZ; Katie Wentz and husband, Curtis of Arvada, CO; Twelve grandchildren, April, John, Amanda, Emily, Heather, Haley, Cyan, Sierra, Madison, Kennedy, McKenna, and Randi Faye. Service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Rio Rancho United Methodist Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Robert's honor to http://www.riversofrecovery.com/.
