DICKINSON, JERRY ANDREW SR. Of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013. He was born in Gainesville, TX on July 1, 1927. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sydney Anne; sister Jeanne Gross of Rockwall, TX; sons Jerry and wife Susan of Albuquerque and Edward and wife Glenda of Houston, TX; daughter Stacey Dickinson of Monroe, WA; and his grandchildren in Houston Mark Dickinson and wife Andrea, Katherine Dickinson Varner and husband Kevin Varner, Anne Dickinson and Mary Dickinson. Jerry was a World War II veteran, an artist, TV film director, pilot, newspaper cartoonist (many years the Prime Time cartoonist, as well as the political cartoonist for the Laramie Daily Boomerang), photographer, and fly fisherman. He and Sydney loved the outdoors and traveling in their RV. The family will abide by his wish that there will be no funeral. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Salvation Army, www.salvation armyusa.org. The family would like to think of him now as flying off in his small airplane with a paintbrush in one hand as he paints the beautiful sky and landscape he's soaring above.
