Obituary for GROFF

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday May 15, 2013

GROFF, WENDELL H. Too soon you have left us, but earthly pains and sorrows no longer trouble you. Friday, May 10, 2013, Wendell succumbed to a very short illness at the age of 72. His memory will be on his loved ones minds and in their hearts until we depart to join him. A resident of Albuquerque, Wendell and his brother, Richard, were second generation lumber yard owners, inheriting, and expanding Groff Lumber Co. from their parents. Surviving Wendell are his brother; his life partner, Alice; a dear Uncle in Albuquerque and an Aunt in Kentucky; sisters-in law; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins and their families; and close dear friends. Each of these has made his life complete and fulfilled. FRENCH - University is carrying out cremation, and Wendell's remains will be interred in Indiana at a later date. To all those expressing condolences to the family and friends, we are deeply appreciative.
