MORRIS, JAMES DONALD "JIM" passed away in Mesa, Arizona on April 13, 2013. Born to John C. Morris and Evelyn Gall Morris, Jim arrived on June 13, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. Jim was proud of his military service and retired a Master Sergeant in the Air Force, also a retired Radar Technician for FAA. Jim was passionate about square dancing and was a square dance caller for 35 years. He also loved golfing and woodworking. He met and married his wife June Carnahan in Las Cruces, New Mexico; they were married May 25, 1984. They celebrated 29 wonderful years together. Jim will be dearly missed. Jim leaves behind his wife June; son Bobby Joe Newcomer; daughters Barbara T. (Robert) Tracy, Shirley (Mike) Moffit, Samantha (David) Page, Lee Ann (Tommy) Smith; brothers Denny (Julie) Martin, Mike (Linda) Morris; sister Patricia Stevenson; sisters-in-law Kay Morris and Dorthada Groesch; as well as seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn; father, John; step-mother, Finna and his brother, Jack. A Military Service will be held to honor Jim 11:00 AM Sunday, April 21, 2013 on the lawn at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park, 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ 85206.
