 GARCIA, ROSS JOSE age 77, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, lost his battle to cancer on March 31, 2013 (Easter Sunday) but won his way to heaven on the day of resurrection. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife of fifty years, Vi (Viola); son, Alexander Marvin Garcia and wife, Danette; daughter, Melissa Garcia-Stanley who preceded him in death; grandson, Kody Garcia; granddaughter, Brionna Garcia; sister, Agnes Humphrey; brother, Jerry Garcia and wife, Louise; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Julia McClain and husband, John; Ramon Maestas and wife, Hermie; Johnny Maestas Jr., and wife, Tillie; Pat Maestas; Mary Kay Aguilar; Frank Maestas and wife, Linda; Don Maestas and wife, Barbara. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Sr., and Tillie Garcia; brothers-in-law, Porf Maestas and Ernie Aguilar. Ross was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Western Teamsters Union 492. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cuba, NM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Private disposition will follow at later date. Pallbearers will be Kody Garcia, Jim Garcia, Carlos Maestas, Ernie Aguilar, Jack Maestas, Frank Maestas Jr., and Jason White.
