LUCERO, UMELIA B. Age 85 a resident of Cochiti Pueblo, born March 19, 1927, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, March 13, 2013. Mrs. Lucero is survived by her nine children, Mary Fabiola Stromei, Mary Alice Durant, Felix Lucero, Nora Lucero, Ernest Lucero, Henrietta Lucero, Geraldine Sanchez, Gloria Lucero, Patricia Sanders and husband, Roger; two brothers, Polito Bernal, Manuel Leyba and wife, Delfinia; sister in-law, Mary Lou Bernal; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Lucero; brothers, Andres Bernal and Rafael Bernal; sisters, Lola Bernal and Pabla Garcia. Mrs. Lucero was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico with a Rosary to be recited at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. Committal Service will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Roger Sanders, Ralph Bernal, Gabriel Sanchez, Johnnie Leyba, Michael Lucero, and Thomas Caballero.
