Obituary for CORDOVA

CORDOVA, WILFRIDO age 86, a resident of Albuquerque, born April 22, 1926, passed away on March 14, 2013. Mr. Cordova is survived by his children, Theresa Cardenas and husband, Trini, and Lorraine Torrez, Carol DeLeon and husband, Edward, and Billy and Linda; six grandchildren, Antoinette Johnson and husband, Todd, Angel Snoddy and husband, Ozz, Jacob Cardenas, Joseph Torrez and wife, Marian, Jeffrey Cordova and wife, Andrea, Annette Saavedra; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Lala Gutierrez; many brothers in law, and sisters in-law, nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends. Mr. Cordova was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; son, Willie; and grandson, Maurice Cardenas. Mr. Cordova was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII, also serving in the United States Army Reserve for twenty-nine years. Mr. Cordova enjoyed playing the saxophone, clarinet and enjoyed all types of music. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trini Cardenas, Jacob Cardenas, Jeffrey Cordova, Todd Johnson, Ozz Snoddy, and Archie Cordova. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Blea and Jimmy Armijo.
