MARTINEZ, ROSALIE Age 91, a resident of Albuquerque since 1936, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She was the widow of Private Adolfo Martinez who died during WWII Battle of the Bulge. Rosalie was preceded in death by her father, David Quintana; mother, Eufemia Quintana; and sister, Mary A. Storey. She is survived by her siblings, Phoebe Chavez, Trini Sanchez, Flora Robles and husband, Joe, Cecilia C de Baca, and Christopher Quintana and wife, Lucy; many nieces and nephews; neighbors and special friends. Rosalie was born in Arboles, CO in 1921 and graduated from Albuquerque High. She then went to work for the Federal Government, retiring from the Federal Housing Administration. Rosalie was supportive of family and friends. She was generous, religious, detailed and a responsible person who will be missed by all who knew her. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. At Rosalie's directions, a Rosary will be recited Saturday, March 16, 2013, 9:00 a.m., with a Mass following at 10:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Entombment will follow. The family would like to express a special thanks to Rosalie's nephew, Tony Campbell, niece, Irene Commins, and her neighbors who helped Rosalie stay in her home up until her recent illness; and to the staff and Guillermma Andrew at Hospice Compassus.
