GIBSON, DANIEL G. "GRANDPA DANNY" Age 78, "went home" suddenly on Thursday, March 7, 2013. He was born September 20, 1934 in Virden, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Gibson and Lavita (McKee) Gibson. He is survived by his long time companion Dora (Yepa) Dustin; her daughters, Stacey Chavez and Renetta Yepa; grandchildren Ashley Josefowicz, Shenoa Chavez, Zachary Yepa and Hunter Cheresposy. He is also survived by his children Douglas, Vicki, and Kim; and sister Betty Kirby. He served in the US Navy and had a 30 year career with the City of Albuquerque, retiring in 1993. Burial has taken place, interment at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. A Celebration of his Life Service will be held at the American Legion Post 49 at 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, located at 11005 Central Ave. NE, Abq., 87123. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the American Legion Post 49 in his honor.
