DURAN, KEVIN V. Age 26, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013. He is survived by parents, Victor and Debbie Duran; his brother, Aaron Duran and Veronica Ortega; his grandmothers, Helen Duran and Mable Bustos; god-daughter, Vanessa Garcia; aunts and uncles, Robert Duran, Cecilia and Bill Romero, Ron Bustos and Christine Jacques, and Robert and Sandy Bustos; cousins, Jason Duran, Eric and Kasi Garcia, Brittany and Juan Lopez, Gage Bustos, Edward, Daniel, and Robert Bustos, Teddee Saavedra, Ezabella Garcia, and Audrina Lopez; and godparents, Perry and Eva Moran. Kevin was employed at Desert Hills, where he was an assistant to counselors and helped with monitoring youth developmental activities. Kevin can always be remembered for his love of all sports, and was known for his speed and agility on the court and field, and his highly competitive nature. His joys included traveling and amongst his favorite memories were those of his family's annual trips to Red River, their fishing expeditions while camping, and his love of the outdoors! Kevin was spiritual in nature and well known for his compassion and kind heart. He loved his parents and was a role model to his little brother Aaron. He had no problem showing his affection to family and friends, he will always be remembered saying to Mom "How's it going MaMa-sita?" Kevin will be held in our hearts always and we will never forget his kind and loving nature. His love was amazingly genuine, inspirational and infinite. Rosary will be recited Saturday, March 9, 2013, 8:30 a.m., at Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. S.W., with the Mass following at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
