WISE, DIANE died unexpectedly on February 18, 2013. She will be sorely missed. As a 23 year transplant to New Mexico she loved the area - the light, the birds and flowers, the people. She made many friends in the area. A natural teacher, she delighted in talking with friends, groups and acquaintances to share with them her knowledge and enthusiasm about the birds and wildflowers and New Mexico wildlife. She was born in Goliad, Texas on December 19, 1937 and was a graduate, with honors, from Rice University. Diane is survived by husband Doyle R. Wise; sister Kathy Roesler of Tomball, Texas; and nephews David and Jeff Roesler and their families. She is to be cremated and there will be no funeral or formal services. Donations in Diane's memory should go to Wildlife Rescue of New Mexico or to the Placitas Community Library.
